The Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics is looking for candidates to fill the POST DOCTORATE POSITION in the Carleton Laboratory. Interested candidates should have a strong background in experimental mechanics and centrifuge modeling and excellent communication skills. Primary duties include participation in experimental research and preparation of research proposals and reports. A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering is required, with experience in modern experimental techniques, instrumentations, and centrifuge operation. Columbia University has a 200g 3-m diameter centrifuge donated by the Kajima Corporation, Japan.
