Research Focus: Professor Jacobs' research focuses on the development of quantitative
methodologies for the nondestructive evaluation of structural materials. This
multidisciplinary work advances the efficacy of wave-based techniques by
integrating elastodynamics, mechanics of materials,
optics, instrumentation and digital signal processing methods.
