Columbia Hosts Biot Conference

The 4th Biot Conference on Poromechanics was held at Columbia University from 8-10 June. The conference was attended by about 200 participants with 16 technical sessions. Several keynote lectures were delivered. In honor of the upcoming 80th birthday of Professor DiMaggio, the Second Frank DiMaggio Symposium was conducted as part of the conference. The conference events included a boat cruise around Manhattan and a banquet at the Low Memorial Library.
