K.K. "Muralee" Muraleetharan
Prof.
Muraleetharan is a David Ross Boyd and a Presidential Professor of Civil
Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma (OU). He
joined OU in 1994 after working as a consulting engineer in California for 6 years. He is a registered Professional
Engineer (P.E.) and a registered Geotechnical Engineer (G.E.) in California. He received
his B.S. from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka,
and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University
of California at Davis,
all in civil engineering. His research interests include computational modeling
of multiphase porous media, geotechnical earthquake engineering, static and
dynamic behavior of unsaturated soils, soil-structure interaction, finite
element modeling, constitutive modeling, and centrifuge testing.
