Prof. X. Frank Xu

Prof. X. Frank Xu
has been an assistant professor in structural engineering of Stevens Institute
of Technology since 2005. Dr. Xu's research interest is focused on multiscale methods, stochastic modeling, homogenization
methods, and optimization of complex materials. Dr. Xu’s research aims to develop theoretical and
computational formulations/methods on multiscale stochastic modeling
and scale coupling mechanics. He received an
Early Career Principal Investigator Award in applied mathematics from US
Department of Energy in 2006. Dr. Xu obtained his
B.E. degree from Tsinghua University in 1993, and a doctorate in Civil
Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in
2005.
