Reception (6/8)
Cruise around lower Manhattan by MV Royal Princess, evening view of Manhattan skyline and food.
- Major bridges around New York City by Dr. Bodijar Yanev (Executive Director, Bureau of Bridges,New York City &
- Buses ready for picking up between 6-6:20 pm in front of Lehner Hall (see map below). Boarding shall start at 7 pm at Chelsea Piers, Pier 59 (West Side Highway
between 23rd Street and 18th Street), and the cruise from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The buses shall return to the campus at around 10 pm
Banquet (6/9)
Location: Rotunda of Low Memorial Library (see map below).
Time: 7:00-9:30 pm
A banquet Lecture will be given by Peter Rinaldi, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
During the dessert, Prof. Christian Hellmich of the Vienna University of Technology will give a short talk "2013: 50th Anniversary of Karl von Terzaghi's Death"
Limited additional tickets available at the registration desk for $125 each (before noon, June 8 Monday)
