Adrian BrÜgger Appointed as Manager of Carleton Laboratory

The Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics welcomes Adrian Brügger as the new manager of the Robert A. W. Carleton Strength of Materials Laboratory. Along with the Director of Research, Professor Rene Testa, Adrian will embark on a multi-year capital program to bring forth nothing less than a renaissance in the Carleton Laboratory with respect to its physical plant, responsiveness to students and above all graduate and faculty research. The Carleton Laboratory will see a plethora of changes in the upcoming years, ranging from increased cleanliness to major plant equipment upgrades. These are exciting times for Carleton Laboratory! Adrian Brügger is an alumnus of the department with a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Master of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering, as well as a current doctoral candidate. He will inhabit the unique dual role of both a full-time PhD student in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and an Associate Staff Officer of the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.
