New MTS Controller

Carleton Lab is proud to announce the completion of the controller upgrade of its MTS 220 kip dynamic universal testing machine. After a hardware fault rendered the old controller inoperable, the old computer-based controller was replaced with a controller of the latest generation, an MTS FlexTest 40. The new controller provides an increase in flexibility of the testing machine, for use in load, displacement, and strain control – in both static and dynamic testing. The machine is due to be used in new cementitious materials research, geotechnical testing, as well as specialty commercial strength of materials testing.
