The Carleton Laboratory Machine Shop is proud to present the latest product of its capital investment plan: a brand new Clausing Industrial 20” drill press. This new asset allowed for the decommissioning and subsequent donation of the old ASEA drill press to the Formula SAE Team.
The new drill press has a continuously variable speed ranging from 150 to 2000 rpm with a two-speed reversible 1.5 horsepower continuous duty motor. With a bit capacity of up to 1.25”, this drill can tackle even heavy-duty machining jobs. A diamond-grip Albrecht keyless chuck allows for fast, easy bit changes, making this drill press a true machining powerhouse.
