The Carleton lab provides a rich teaching environment for both graduate and undergraduate classes in many areas of civil engineering and engineering mechanics:
- experimental mechanics of materials & continuum mechanics
- soil mechanics
- fluid mechanics
- forensic structural engineering
- dynamics and vibrations
- earthquake engineering
- structural health monitoring
The lab is also active in bringing engineering to the local community, participating actively in university-sponsored outreach and support programs such as CU GK-12, Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, and Engineering, to name a few.
