Jenna Kumabe

Jenna manages career placement for the Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics Master's program. Jenna joins us with a strong background in the recruitment of engineers for private companies, public organizations, and federal contracts. She has recruited engineers for permanent roles on behalf of private and public clients, as well as actually hired engineers for federal projects. Though she has hired/recruited for engineers in all branches, she has worked most closely with the civil and structural disciplines.

She has spent the recent part of her career assisting college students with career readiness and their pre/post-graduation job searches. By cultivating symbiotic partnerships between employers and universities, Jenna has helped many students find their professional homes, where they are able to flourish and grow in their careers. Through her background in recruitment, she brings a unique perspective in being able to identify what employers look for when hiring engineers. Her knack for understanding the needs of both candidates and companies allows her to help students not only to find a job, but to find a great fit.
