Why Tall? Where Tall? How Tall? Trends in Tall Buildings - Past, Present, Future

Tall buildings are a part of every city's skyline in the world. They define a city's image and identity. How have past and present trends in tall building design and construction shaping the way tall buildings will be designed and constructed in the future? This brief presentation will study all three points in time.

Bill Maibusch

Mr. Maibusch has over 40 years experience in the construction industry. His project experience includes highrises, educational, and healthcare facilities. He has worked throughout the USA's Pacific Northwest (Washington State, Oregon, Alaska) and served as a Project Director for a project management company in Doha, Qatar. He is a Certified Construction Manager with the Construction Management Association of America and a LEED Accredited Professional. He holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Architecture from the University of Illinois, USA. Mr. Maibusch is active in the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), and founded the Qatar Chapter of CTBUH. He also helped found the Seattle Chapter of CTBUH and now serves on its Board.
