CEEM senior Lili Boenigk recently attended the Adaptation Futures Conference in early October. She writes of her experience:
"I was thrilled to attend the Adaptation Futures conference in Montreal as a member of the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN). Through my work with the Columbia Earth Institute, in collaboration with an international team of researchers, I helped craft the proposal for UCCRN’s session at the conference. The session included a panel discussion in which the lead authors of the organization’s Third Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3.3) presented their key findings. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the team I’ve spent the past year collaborating with remotely, and also had the opportunity to attend a number of sessions on climate adaptation focusing on indigenous voices and locally-led adaptation strategies."
