Alexander Moreno '23 Selected as Campbell Award Recipient

CEEM graduating senior Alexander Moreno was selected as the Engineering School's recipient of the 2023 Campbell Award.  Presented by the Columbia University Trustees and the Columbia Alumni Association, the Campbell Award recognizes one graduating student from each School at Columbia who shows exceptional leadership and Columbia spirit.

During his time at Columbia, Alexander was heavily involved in Engineers Without Borders as the co-president as well as the technical team lead for the Morocco and Ghana Chapters. He was also the president of the American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter, an advising fellow for Matriculate, and the team captain for the snowboard and freestyle competition teams on campus.

After graduation, Alexander will be moving to Portland, OR, to work for the heavy civil construction contractor, Stacy and Witbeck. As a field engineer on TriMet's A Better Red project, Alexander will be heading up the station construction of the light rail capacity expansion project.
