The Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics Department congratulates Professor Steve Waiching Sun for being elected to the EMI Membership grade of Fellow! He will be recognized during the awards ceremony at the 2026 EMI Conference in Boulder, CO.
Professor Sun has also joined the editorial board of the ASCE Journal of Engineering Mechanics as an associate editor.
This is a great recognition of Professor Sun's leadership within the engineering community, as well as his distinguished record of research and service to the Engineering Mechanics Institute.
