Jumari Robinson Awarded NIST NRC Postdoctoral Research Associateship

May 12, 2022

Jumari Robinson, CEEM PhD candidate, has been awarded a prestigious National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM-NRC) Postdoctoral Research Associateship. Jumari’s proposal “Expanding the Capabilities of Uniaxial Testing of Anisotropic Sheet Metals Beyond the Limits of Homogenous Deformation” was ranked in the top tier, granting him centralized funding and allowing him to join the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to perform research in his field of interest. Jumari will be working in a multi-disciplinary team at the NIST Center for Automotive Lightweighting (Mechanical Performance Group, Materials Science and Engineering Division), combining cutting-edge multiaxial mechanical testing with x-ray scattering and stereoscopic digital image correlation methods.
